Well, it is a form of promotion used in Japan for movies that are coming.. and running at that time..they are posters that are about the same size as a magazine cover..the art and colors are vibrant beautiful pieces of art... the stages of promotional items go from screening...chirashi....tickets and movie books....Some of the tickets themselves are collector items some have their own cases....Its big biz and very cool...its a shame that more of this doesnt happen in the states...some theaters have post cards of movies or tvshows that are going on....but nothing to this scale..or beauty... As for what the chirashi is made of..most are a high quality paper like a magazine.. some are a thicker paper (and non shiny) almost like construction paper, some are very thick high quality paper.. Where can you buy some of these..since they arent for sale here...hopefully someone will write Carinya or myself with a reliable reasonalbe price place to purchase some of these...UNTIL then...try Ebay...and there are some Japanese sites that sell them as well..Carinya speaks and writes Japanese, where I do NOT...
